When was my P99 manufactured?

The two-letter date code on the right side of the frame, below the accessory rail, indicates the year in which the frame was made:

For 2004 and later P99s, including the P99c (Compact), the datecode is located on the frame under the accessory rail, as shown in the photo below:

The following is how to translate the letters into digits, which then correspond to the last two digits of the year:

  • A = 0
  • B = 1
  • C = 2
  • D = 3
  • E = 4
  • F = 5
  • G = 6
  • H = 7
  • I = 8
  • K = 9

    Thus, an "AE" P99 was made in 2004 ("AE" = "04").
